Reactivating my Amazon account after facing multiple violations, including Drop shipping, ODR (Order Defect Rate), authenticity, counterfeit issues, sale velocity, and copyright/trademark concerns, was a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience.
The first step I took was thoroughly reviewing the violation notices sent by Amazon. I realized that the Drop shipping issue occurred due to listing products from third-party suppliers without ensuring proper inventory management, which led to delayed shipments and customer complaints. To address this, I created a plan to source products directly from reliable suppliers and manage stock levels more effectively.
Next, I focused on addressing the ODR issue, which was caused by negative feedback and A-to-Z claims. I immediately started improving customer service, ensuring fast response times, and resolving issues proactively. This significantly reduced my ODR score over time.
The authenticity and counterfeit violations were particularly concerning. I investigated the source of these issues and identified some suppliers who were not providing authentic products. I contacted the brands to obtain proper invoices and documentation, ensuring that my listings complied with Amazon’s policies.
The sale velocity concern came up due to sudden spikes in demand for certain products. I made sure to adjust my listings and inventory management strategy, ensuring that I wouldn’t face stockouts or overstocking, which could have caused issues with Amazon’s performance metrics.
I also took time to review copyright and trademark rules, removing any listings that might have infringed on intellectual property rights. I then submitted a comprehensive appeal to Amazon, outlining the steps I had taken to resolve the violations.
After making these changes, I was able to reinstate my account. The experience taught me the importance of staying compliant with Amazon’s policies and continuously improving my business practices.
